Introduction: Without the generous support of my faithful family and friends, I would not be on this journey. God has blessed me so much already, and recently He has provided in a HUGE way. Thank you all so much for your support- whether it is financial, through prayer or reading my blogs. You are all such a blessing in my life.
It is hard to believe that Christmas has come and gone, and a New Year is here. Usually this time of year, I am used to enjoying the beautiful fresh snow, snowboarding, Christmas lights and trees, Peppermint Mocha’s, and maybe some ice skating. Instead I am experiencing 20+ degree weather, green grass, red dirt, and mosquitos!
Christmas was a very chill, relaxing day for us, but it was beautiful to celebrate the birth of Christ in a very simple way. Christmas Eve we went door to door in the compound singing Christmas carols. Christmas day was a lovely service complete with a nativity skit, after which we enjoyed a delicious meal with metoke and chicken- a real treat for us! The afternoon was spent relaxing, playing games, watching a movie, and staying out of the downpour. Our team decided that instead of spending money on each other for Christmas, we would instead pool our money to do something special for the kids. Through the generosity of some of my sponsors, we got to treat the church to soda’s (pop, if you’re CanadianJ) and ICE CREAM!!
The last couple of months have been such a rewarding and stretching time for me. Some moments that I have definitely seen God at work are: teaching English and leading Bible studies in Cambodia, building relationships with monks and loving the kids from the slums in Thailand, seeing a mother and daughter give their life to the Lord at a church service in Vietnam, and doing a mini VBS for the kids in Uganda. This has been an amazing experience, and in order for me to continue with the race, I still need about $2000 in my World Race account. It is not possible for me to come up with this amount on my own, so that is why I need YOU!! The money that is donated to my World Race account is used for water, supplies for ministry (such as craft supplies and candy for kids), etc.
I can never thank you enough for the support you give me, but the Lord will bless your generosity! Tax receipts can be issued to American citizens only.
In addition, I am offering some perks when you donate to my support account:

Just think… if 100 people gave ONLY $20… I would have my goal.
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” The reward is the smile on the face of a street child after buying them lunch instead of chocolate for yourself.
It is very convenient to donate by going to the left side of this page to the support me link, and all you need to do is follow the instructions there.
Thank you and God bless you abundantly.
