This month we are in Cambodia. ?
(I have Thailand blogs pre-written and will post as soon as I have more time)
The Kingdom of Cambodia is the Southeast Asian nation bordered b Vietnam to the east, Laos to the north, Thailand to the northwest, and the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest.
This month we are living in a village in Kampot partnering with a University of the Nations ministry through YWAM. Kampot is a small town of about 40,000 in the south-east of Cambodia. ?The population in Cambodia is 96% Buddhist, 2% Christian and 2% Hindu.
At the ministry that we working with this month we are spending our days evangelizing and teaching English. ?Our days are divided between teaching in a public school and at the ministry site where we are staying. ?Teaching English even with books to use can be challenging especially since my only teaching experience is with younger 2 and 3 year old and Sunday school classes. We also have the challenge of not having a translator in most classes and not being able to pronounce the children's names. It's a challenge but it also bring me much joy to be able to share the light of Christ be being able to go into a public predominantly Buddhist school to teaching English and build relationships. ?
This month though it is a challenge brings much joy as I get to share the love of Jesus with the people here in Cambodia. ?As we teach and love on the people here God is teaching me about confidence and using my voice. ?The message HE has been giving me has been the same over the last few months as He shows me how to be confident in the abilities that HE has given me. ?

I still have a need to reach $11,000 by the end of this month along with other members of U squad.
Please pray for me that as team treasurer; that as I steward the finances and work with the team and our contacts each month to keep everything in balance.
Please pray for the children that we teach at the center, many are Christians but their families are Buddhist, this can cause family strife.
Please pray for our Thanksgiving celebration that we will be having that many will come and experience the love of Christ.
