**** Praise God for His Provision!!!!  I have unofficially (waiting for it to post to my account)  surpassed the needed amount of $3500 that is due by June 29th****

Sometimes when there is a lot to do, it's tempting to stop short, to get overwhelmed and give up.  But I've come this far so I'm going to continue to walk in faith that God has it all under control.

Thinking about this brought me back to the lessons we learn from Jacob in Genesis 46. At this point Jacob who has believed for many years that his son Joseph was dead, has just found out that Joseph is alive ( I feel like I just introduced you to a soap opera)

But when they told him everything Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts Joseph had sent to carry him back, the spirit of their father Jacob revived. And Israel said, “I’m convinced! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.” (Genesis 45:27, 28 NIV)

The excitement will only get us so far! We have to stay focused on where God is taking us and what HE is doing in our lives

It was not far into his travels that Jacob started to fear so he stopped and had some time with God in prayer and worship

So Israel set out with all that was his, and when he reached Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, “Jacob! Jacob!” “Here I am,” he replied. “I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes.” (Genesis 46:1-4 NIV)

Jacob was fearful of going to Egypt, this was out of his comfort zone.  God doesn't communicate to His children with fear.  Fear is not of God…

But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead. Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. (Isaiah 43:1-5 NIV)

Jacob made it to Egypt and was reunited with his son Joseph, for the rest of the story read Genesis 47-50.

Currently, I still have a lot to do; I haven't gotten my shots yet and I have about 10 small items that I will need for the trip none of my large items that I will need by training camp.  Part of me is fighting the fear of not having everything together by training camp.  I know it will all come together and that GOD is in control.

Can I enlist your help in this process?

First: I would like to ask that as you as praying for me you would pray that:

  • I would continue to draw close to God, stay focused and keep moving forward in HIS ways.
  • I would stay motivated to keep up with everything I need to do in preparation for leaving in September..
  • All of the items that I need would be provided in time for training camp ( I need them by July 11th)

I have created a wish list through Amazon with the items that are needed: you view it at:

https://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/RJOJPXBXWR5K/ref=cm_reg_rd-upd?_encoding=UTF8&msgid=update

I am also in need of vaccinations these will cost anywhere from $500-$1000, would you be willing to give towards this need?

Thank you so much for blessing me so that I may go and bless others.

Blessings,

Anna
