“May God deliver us from the easygoing, smooth, comfortable Christianity that never lets the truth get hold of us.” AW Tozer

When we pray in faith consistently and persistently it’s amazing what we get to see God do.  In some cases it’s not exactly what we expect.  I didn’t expect to move to South Carolina, but when the opportunity came along the doors opened wide.  I had hoped that I would be able to go back to Uganda but instead God has had me planted here in Charleston working with an inner city ministry.  I prayed to be able to go on a mission’s trip; to have an adventure and God showed me Adventures in Missions and the World race.  When I first learned about the World Race I was really excited it didn’t seem to be the right timing so I decided to put it aside…I had lot’s of excuses…but I liked the idea of going to the different countries so added a list of all the places I wanted to go to my prayer list.

Recently I was looking over my prayer list and decided to see what routes were coming up thinking I would only go IF one of the trips matched with the list I had made but doubting it would since it hadn’t before.  I was amazed when I came across the September route that had six of the countries I had on my list.   At the same time, it seemed that in every study I did and sermon I heard there was something about trusting and obeying.  Literally, I was helping in children’s ministry one day and one of the songs we sang to the children was, “trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus…” God couldn’t have been any clearer if He’d hit me over the head with a brick.  I knew I had to take the step of faith and officially apply for the World Race.  And on the same day that we talked about Abraham and stepping out in faith and doing what God is calling us to do during the Bible Study I attend I got the acceptance call for the World Race.

We serve an amazing and faithful God!

“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.”
