Hello World Race supporters,
This is my final blog. Since the Race I have spent some time at home in Seattle trying to figure out what this life in America is. I discovered that I know now how to hear God’s voice and which direction he pulls me in. See there were a lot of things that could have kept me in Seattle, a great church, opportunity to work with a wonderful youth group as assistant director of youth ministries and worship leader. All my old friends live there, I’d have a house to live in free of charge, and a car. But something felt wrong.
You see what I learned on the Race is that God has greater plans for us, not just big plans for the big future, but he also has plans for each day. If we can just stop each day and listen we will be guided where he wants us to go and be. I knew in my heart of hearts that I was not supposed to be in Seattle, that it was not in His plan for me. So I moved to San Diego.
I moved in with my eldest sister, living with my five beautiful nieces and nephews, got a car, started a brand new job, found a wonderful new church, and made new friends. I have felt nothing but God’s peace and hand over everything. I have lived in his contentment. No matter what happens from this day forward, He has my heart, my soul, my mind, my strength, and my life. I will follow him.
So this is where I say goodbye. I have deleted my Facebook account, started a new email address, and started a new blog. My whole life is new.
