Just as an introduction, my name is Anna and I am on a year long mission trip and journey of discovering God’s work around the world! Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I am serving 11 countries in 11 months. In September I was in Guatemala, and last month in Nicaragua, and now I am in Quezon City, Philippines on my 3rd month of the World Race. This trip in total costs $16,200, which gives me the opportunity to share the love of Christ to 11 nations for Him. So far, with the help of countless donors have raised $8,669.00 PRAISE GOD! I still need $2,331 by December 1st or else I will have to go home before the 11 months are over! Before I go more into detail with this I’d like to share some things that God is already doing through me on this trip, and why I need to stay on The World Race.
I came on this journey to serve God, experience other cultures, discover God’s will in my life, and to help the children of God, even if it’s just 1 person I help along the way. My favorite part about this journey has been seeing that the Lord is the same in every culture. Whether I’m in a missionary church in Quiche, Guatemala, or I’m walking the streets of Nicaragua, God is still God, and I can still worship him with my actions. I’m constantly falling more and more in love with His creation. He is breaking my heart for what breaks His! I have seen children addicted to sniffing glue on the streets and begging for money in Nicaragua, a school full of outcasted disabled children who are not offered a proper education because of house they were born in Guatemala. I have seen an entire street full of 16,000 daughters of God exploited for their bodies in the Philippines. My heart is breaking, but God is showing me through all of the injustice that HE BRINGS FREEDOM!!
In Guatemala we met young Joel, who was in a wheelchair, but one that was broken and too big for him. He was poor and his family couldn’t afford to really take care of his health and help him gain strength. Through my teams prayers and God’s amazing power, we came home to see Joel receive a brand new wheelchair FOR FREE! He was given the chance to grow stronger and to live a better life because we helped fight for him, and God provided! In Nicaragua we were playing worship music in the park and I watched a street boy walk up to listen……with a jar of sniffing glue in his hand (a very addictive and cheap drug that many street children use.) While he heard us singing about Jesus he asked us if we could pray for him. So we gathered around and asked God to heal this boy of his addiction. We offered him GOD’S FREEDOM! Hallelujah!
The last two days my team have spent two nights in Angeles City, Philippines, on the Walking Street, a mile long street lined with bars and that hold almost 16,000 girls in the sex trade! 16,000 girls who need the love of Christ! Yesterday we brought 7 girls to Wipe Every Tear and offered them a free education, a free home, 3 meals a day, and a chance to be exactly what they were created to be! Wow, what a thing to witness! I saw FREEDOM shine out of their eyes! I saw them just break down in tears and thank us for what we were giving them in LOVE!!
THAT is the reason I am on this Journey, and why I need your help to stay. I long to see God’s love manifested through me, to see God love manifested in the people I meet, and I want to reach out to the souls around the world who don’t have a taste of this love yet! I want them to have that Love! Please help me do this!
On December 1st, I need to have $2,331 raised, or else I go home! I can’t go home, there are so many more ways that God can use me! Donate here if you can and continue to keep me in your prayers as I approach this deadline! I know that through God and YOU this is possible! Please hear my stories, and consider giving today! Even $10 now or every month, the cost of two Starbucks drinks, can go a long way! Thank you so much for reading and hearing my heart! God Bless!
