Finally on the way to our first country!! Man its been a long week! We got to the AIM headquarters on Tuesday to train on the cameras for the documentary, and spend three days having information squeezed into our little brains!! We camped out in the training center, 55 people on the floor, because of the storms! We bonded as a team and got very little sleep! I have lots of bug bites littering my body! But it was an awesome week of learning the heart of this project and how to film effectively to tell a story.

On saturday we made it to Atlanta to officially begin launch. This meant hours of “talks” and having lunch and dinner with all the parents, having only $5 a day to spend on food in our team’s budget! This taught me a LOT about discipline and self-control! This year I will try to stay on the World Race budget! :p So this year is going to be amazing with my team Reptar girls! I love them so much already and am learning and growing from them!

So here we are! Its tuesday morning, 7:30am and I am now checked in (my bag was 47 lbs! yay!!) I’ve got coffee and good company! My flight is at 10am and we have a 3 hour flight then a 6 hour ride in a chicken bus to our site in Guatemala!! We are staying at Agape in Action. It is at a medical compound. We will be camping out on the compound so sleeping in Tents on the ground in the rain, in Guatemala…….

I’M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

See y’all soon!!!
