It is hard to believe, but a little over a month ago I was headed out to training camp. One week in the mountains of Tennessee with 250 people I didn’t know. That could be an intimidating prospect for an introvert. But thanks to the technology of facebook, I had already “met” several of my squad mates. When we arrived at training camp, it was as if our facebook page had come to life! Simply amazing! From the beginning we bonded as a family. The bond only got stronger as we went through the week.
I have so many stories I could tell you of everything that happened and everything I learned at camp. And I will. But for now, in celebration of World Race Day, let me introduce you to my team. These are the 6 lovelies that I will be traveling with in 2014. We decided to name our team Adelphoi. This is a Greek word meaning brothers and sisters in Christ. For that is what we are: brothers and sisters in Christ being sent out to serve in the world and share God’s love.
