Team Siloam!
I am now the proud member of a new team! Team Siloam is based here in Macia Mozambique. There may be tricky plumbing, electricity, and more bugs and flies than I have ever imagined, but I couldn’t think of better circumstances for God to form a concrete bond between new teammates. We have extreme heat, sleeping on the floor in our tents, and our contact speaks minimal English. We rely on Jesus and we love, encourage and guide each other. We’re growing into a family more and more every day. We tease one another, build each other up and call each other out on our crap. We are: Jenn Watson, Francis Frizzelle, Amanda Brucki, Michelle Lasko, Raquel Bagnal, and our Team Leader is Dusty Dills, and me Ann Duncan. There are seven of us and each one of us is so wonderfully gifted, talented and each one of us views the world through such different lenses. We go through many of the same things each day, but our point of view on them are each so different and we each pick up on different things. God’s creativity is astounding. We spent last night staring up at the stars in the sky and sang Christmas carols. We each miss our families terribly and long to see and speak with them, but we know that Jesus, our Heavenly King, is looking after them, and has given us each other as family for the next eight months.
