Coming to South Africa has been a dream of mine for years now and to be here and doing God's will and spreading His love to these people is so incredible. This place stands in STARK contrast to China, we've prayed over a school and can talk openly to people about what it is that we're doing here. Some of the girls that I'm with from my squad and I were invited by one of our contacts to go to Hillsong Church in Cape Town. It was incredible and God spoke to me and asked me to commit to a 3 day fast to draw my spirit into closer devotion to Him. We've been able to speak openly uninhibited by fear. It has made me think about how fear can be there even when there aren't laws that keep us from talking openly about our Creator. I will openly admit that when I did have the freedom to speak about Jesus that I didn't take full advantage of it, that I didn't speak as openly about my faith as I should have. Once that freedom was taken away, ALL I wanted to do was to talk to people about Him and His incredible love and what it can accomplish. Fear comes in so many forms, it can be imposed by a government, by a society, by norms, and even from within yourself. Something that I became reminded of was that Jesus and fear cannot live in your heart at the same time. Fear is a lack of trust as well as a lack of courage. Courage and trust must be stronger than your fear, or else you can become paralyzed, which is what the enemy wants. He wants you to be stagnant and entrapped in fear, fear of what people might think, fear of what people might say, fear of what may happen because you said or did something of did something involving Jesus. We must not allow the enemy a foothold to keep us from exercising our desire to talk openly about Christ. Pray for our brothers and sisters who have to speak His precious name quietly and can't be in community with one another publicly. Their courage and trust that Jesus will keep them safe and provide for them a way to worship Him is profoundly inspiring. Pray for them, pray that freedom will come to those nations and that we as Christians will never take for granted the power of Jesus' name.

The video that was made over the course of last month for Eagles Wings is making a big impact! The two people who worked on it devoted so much time to it, God used them to get the message about the kids in that orphanage out and it is GOOD!
