WELCOME TO THE PHILIPPINES!
After 38 hours of travel by plane, bus, boat, jeepny, (pronounced jeep-nee) and a small walk we reached the church where we will be staying and ministering for the next month of our wonderful lives. For the first few days we were in Manila with Kids International Ministries  (Kim for short) and met the family that lives in the house there. We got to see their daughter's ministry called Josie's Angels, a home for girls in the area who are physically and sexually abused. There were encouraging scriptures painted on the boarders of the wall, reminding them that they are indeed daughters of God. It was proof of what God can accomplish when you are following His will. It truly is a a beautiful refuge for those girls. Our team left early the next morning for Puerto Galera, when we reached the island of Mindoro we were immediately enchanted by it's beauty. We rode on top of a jeepny to the church, which is nestled into the side of one of the mountains. Pastor Al and his beautiful wife Marina and daughter Jo Jo were there to great us. I couldn't have dreamed of a better group of people to work with. Their kindness and generosity is overwhelming. They are wonderful examples of God's grace and giving. It is beyond humbling, I want to encourage all of you who are reading this to practice this kind of giving nature towards one another, grace and kindness that puts other's before yourself and make it truly a part of your actions. I will do my best to practice it on this end as well. God know's it won't be easy with my stubborn nature. I love you all, please take care of one another, as we are all son's and daughter's of  God. Love you!
