You’re finally here…

WELCOME!!!

I hope this blog post finds you well. I wanted to take this
time to tell you a little about what I’ll be doing over the course of the next
year in hopes that you will support me and keep me in your prayers.

I have been given an amazing opportunity to be a part of the
World Race and lead a group of seven young women, myself included, through
eleven different countries starting in January 2012. In each country, we will
work alongside a nonprofit organization supporting the local community.

The World Race is an organization that reaches people in
remote areas of our world. Their mission is to mobilize young people of my generation,
who are, like myself, “dissatisfied with the status quo and are determined
to actively rise to the challenge of seeing the world transformed through
tangible expressions of our God’s love”. This is facilitated through
projects that provide shelter for those in need including safe houses, and
orphanages to embrace those scarred by injustice.

This race provides an opportunity to meet the physical and
spiritual needs of communities that are desperately in need. More than
anything, I covet your prayers for our team and those whose lives will be
touched by God through us. I know God answers prayers, and I’m asking you to
pray for safety, good health, smooth travel, and financial support. Just
knowing that you will be praying will give me peace as I go into unfamiliar
places.

Moreover, this trip is funded entirely through donations. If
you feel so led, please consider partnering with me as I begin this journey. So
far through generous contributions I have raised $5,200 and I need to raise
$10,300 to meet my goal of $15,500. This amount covers all my travel, lodging and
emergency expenses for the 11-month race. There lies a difficult road ahead and
every bit helps me to reach my financial needs.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post and if
you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Take care and I hope to hear from you soon!

And hey,

Enjoy the following video from my friends at the World Race! 🙂
