1. She’s spontaneous:
This girl spent a year of her life traveling the world and doing crazy awesome things. Not to mention she had to be ready for anything at any time. Pastor needed her to preach a message but told her 4 hours before service? She rocked it.
2. She’s resourceful:
She packed one bag to travel to 11 countries for 11 months… She probably only carried 5 pairs of pants and 7 tops. She knows how to mix and match and she looks hot doing it. The same leggings for the fourth day in a row? Heck yeah. Ran out of toilet paper in your house? You would be surprised by how many things can quickly do the job just as well.
3. She’s up for any challenge
Clogged toilet? Ha! That’s got nothing on her. She has built houses out of cow manure using her bare hands. She has dug trenches, fought off crazy monkeys, and been charged at by African cows. This girl is up for anything!
4. She is good at sharing:
Telling by her half empty peanut butter that she just bought yesterday… you can tell she is a pro at sharing. She’s lived with 7 people (sometimes 47) and she knows what it’s like to run out of something and have to bum it off someone else. She basically lives by the motto “what’s mine is yours.”
5. She’s in pretty good shape:
She might not be able to run a marathon, but the girl has been squatting for long periods of time about 6 times a day…. Her legs and buns are killer!
6. She’s good at saving money:
She has gotten the price of a pair of pants down from $7 to $4. She is a champion at negotiating and getting the best deals. “No no no… Too much!” is her common phrase, so you won’t have to worry about her wanting crazy expensive things.
7. She won’t complain about your odor:
You can pretty much smell however you want and you probably won’t hear her complain. The girl slept next to African toilets and stepped on countless amounts of donkey poop… She’s not your average “Ew yucky!” kind of girl.
8. She’s a cheap date:
She’s lived off of $5 a day when it comes to food. Park that girl at a McDonald’s and she’ll kiss your face.
9. She is appreciative:
She has probably had to blow up her inflatable bed and lay it down God knows where while sleeping in front of God knows who. Give her a bed, a sheet, and pillow… And she feels like a queen.
10. She is strong.
Whether we are talking about her fighting injustice or malaria… This girl has a strong heart and strong immune system. She’s probably eaten cat, dog, mouse, bird, you name it… Yet she still came out healthy.
HOW DOES SHE DO IT?!
11. She knows how to love:
That girl has more love in her pinky than most people have in their entire body. She has loved without borders and has served the “least of these.” She has loved so much that it has hurt, and she knows how to lift people up when they are down. She has rescued, healed, held, and cuddled… her love has no limits.
So… If you’ve got yourself a previous World Racer as a girlfriend… Consider yourself blessed, my friend. She is strong, selfless, beautiful, and she’s pretty kick-butt. Give yourself a pat on the back and treasure her with all that you have. She has been entrusted to you as a daughter to a King and after all her hands and heart have done she should be praised! She is worthy and deserving of the same love and affection she poured out around the world, and how stinkin blessed you are to be a part of that!
