The what:
Center for Global action or CGA. CGA is a program with Adventures in Mission, the same organization The World Race is under. It is designed to give people the opportunity to be discipled, given the tools, and empowered to live out there calling in Christ. It includes classes, an apprenticeship, discipleship, and a Christ centered community. I will be attending the field leadership track this September to December.

My friend Kelsey, from my squad, is at CGA for leadership currently, described it like this:

“You will be working to help mobilize missionaries around the world while being trained in the most efficient ways to lead others. You’ll be doing a lot of project development stuff: trainings for team leaders, etc. plus you’ll be developing self awareness, learning how to communicate well with others, deal with conflict in a healthy way, and learn how to lead people with different personalities and strengths.”

The Reason:
A lot of what I learned on the race last year was overcoming fears and learning to trust God in everything. I am replacing my fear of who He would ask me to be, with trust of His plan for my life.

Over the course of the race I began to really understand my passion for people He set inside of me. I love supporting and encouraging people. I truly enjoy watching people grow and understand who they are in Christ. I myself am learning so much about what it is to be a daughter in the house of God and I can’t help but want to share and invite other people into a life filled with His love.

CGA will give me the opportunity to be taught what it looks life part of guiding people to freedom in Christ. My goal in doing the leadership track is to be equipped to go back out on the field as a leader for Adventures in Missions.

Month 9 debrief our squad coordinator started talking about “re-entry” (by that point I had forgotten that the race was not going to last forever) she started talking about this thing called CGA and all that it had to offer. My first thought… “Shoot! I am going to have to do that”.

I began praying about CGA and God kept nudging it as a post race option. I have a great peace about pursuing this opportunity for further discipleship and gaining tools to live out this sometimes crazy adventure Jesus has called me to live. CGA in September is my next step for me in living out the calling placed on my heart to serve and encourage the people of His church.

The How:
Well let’s be honest all good things come with a cost and so does CGA. The semester there will be $3950.00.

That includes everything; the classes, housing, and a small amount of spending money for food each month.

T shirt sales.

WolfTeeWednesday… Buy it Here

Well… wolf Tee’s have become somewhat of a trade mark of mine I so I thought what better way to raise support then sell some original designed wolf T’s. I know your thinking I’m a genius, but thank the hippy who waved the peace sign at me up while hiking up Hyalite canyon.  In a roundabout way, he was my inspiration for the T’s.
