So here I sit in Thailand in a Coffee shop in the red light district wondering what just happened to my life. 72 hours, 4 plane rides, 3 bus rides, a walk down Hollywood boulevard, a 3hour nap and hotshower (yes that is pronounced as one word) in a hotel,  a lot of swollen ankles, and some jet lag later here I am.  We will be staying here for the next 5 days before we head to the village to work doing some trafficking prevention.  We are working with an organization called X life while we are here.

While I was on the plane I have taken it upon myself to put together some demonstrations of how you could sleep on a plane, for next time you find yourself on a 12hour plane ride.

First Step: Luck out with great seat mates

Meet Joel and Danae. Look how awake we look.

Arrangement Number 1: Strait up.

This is a good option to start with. In this arrangement you sit will all your limb in the correct position and to not touch anyone making it a good idea for when you are sitting next to a stranger. In this case, I wasn’t,it  didn’t  it last very long.

Arrangement Number 2:Foot stool

airplane
This is what happens when you sit next to the kid with a broken foot. Recommended when prescribed by a doctor Only. Works best when the gimpy is in the middle.

Arrangement Number 3: Face Down

To start this is a great option the benefits are many and there are few down falls. Benefits include: You are able to rest your head on a pillow, the leaning forward takes the pressure off your tail bone, you are able to stay in your contained space, and people will leave you alone. Down Falls: you have a lack of free airflow and you are not able to see the TV screen.

Arrangement Number 4: The Hammock

airplane
In this position you are able to mock the idea of a hammock with you feet up for you free and easy living. Not suggested for longer naps as it can put a lot of pressure on your tail bone. Caution: The bottoms of your feet are very offensive to the Thai people, so putting them up in the air on a flight to Thailand might not be a good idea; but at this point ignorance is bliss.

Arrangement Number 5: The Face sandwich

Recipe for a face sandwich: Pillow, Face, Pillow, Face.
I would say this is a great option but I would also say that is best  to know that your seat buddy is a good friend.

Arrangement Number 6: The lap dog

This is a situation that happens when your seat mate thinks they are in fact a lab dog. It works best for the person that is sleeping in the lab. It provided great comfort but again not recommended in the event that you sleep next to stranger.

Arrangement Number 7: The “Is this going to be forever” Arrangement

Here is when you reach the end of it all. This is for when you are at your wits end, when you reach a point where you think you will never see land again and this just might be forever.

Arrangement Number 8: The Sleeping pill

Here you take a sleeping pill and sleep though the 13 hour flight. Its is a great idea but then again I did not participate in this so I would not really know, now would I. But looking around to everyone in there blissful sleep I would venture to say that it might help with alleviating a lot of agitation, boredom, and  the need to write this blog. We reached the point we thought that our life had just become the You tube video of David after the Dentist, ask to many times is this going to be forever and you feel the need to get out of your seat and scream.

With all that said we are here and my heart is full and excitement with the anticipation of this month.  I am finding that is possible to fall in love over and over again. It happens instantaneously I can feel it in my bones that God is here and ready to use this month to do God sized dreams though us. And that is pretty darn big.
Pray for the kick of this month and the next 3 in south East Asia.  This place is dark, only 1.5% of the 65 million people know Christ but here we are to bring Hope and Hope is powerful.

The Next Deadline is In June to the Amount of $15,500.

Much loves.
