Nothing really teaches or affects you the way traveling does. (All the countries)
No one can really prepare you for what you will experience since everyone sees and handles it differently. (All the countries)
Somehow my heart managed to grow a little bigger allowing me to love new people that I am assuming/hoping will be life long friends. (teammates and contacts)
Vulnerability kind of sucks (or at least if feels like it at times) but its worth it to find a community that really cares about you and will stick with you no matter what.
God has continually showed me that He really does care about me, this world and His church. ( All the countries)
A soft answer turns away wrath (In Malaysia I was grieving/angry and received a soft answer from God in response to it)
God’s community/church takes many forms (In Cambodia we were fortunate to spend time with a church primarily made up of young single people)
There is always hope (In Thailand again found myself dealing with something difficult and felt hopeless for much of the month)
His yoke is easy and His burden is light ( In Ireland I learned to give up things I needed to let go of)
God also seems to know exactly who and what you need at certain points in your life (which was why I was given the gift/team known as the Last Battle)
Choose joy and keep on choosing it (In Romania there was a lot of stress related to the community we worked in and it was important to keep choosing joy regardless)
And now here are a some pics front our final month (in Albania) and my squad’s final debrief:
1-2: A view from the compound we were on and a day of work replanting trees

3-8: Our squad banquet during V squad’s final debrief

9-10: The great group of people I was on a team with for the last three months of the Race
