– Visiting primary schools and sharing the gospel in each one
– Visiting a highschool and doing a three part presentation about staying away from drugs and alcohol and also involved presenting the gospel in each session
– Being able to visit various churches in the surrounding area that we live in
– Visiting Jeffries Bay and attending Victory church (it was a very encouraging service. Just what most of us needed as we hit the half way point of the Race).
– Participating in prayer meetings with a small church just up the street from our house
– Visiting a youth correctional facility and being able to build relationship with two guys in particular (Paul and Rico). We were able to share a message and pray with a large group of inmates each time we went in (for me a total of four times).
– Sharing a message with the inmates about making much of Christ and not living for self or out of a desire to be “somebody” according to the world’s standards
– Being encouraged by and ministered to by our hosts/contacts (Lyndon and Anthea)
– Seeing the beauty of South Africa through its people, countryside and wildlife
