From the K.I.M. website (www.kidsim.org): “Our first children’s home was founded in early 2005 in Manila,
Philippines. In a city with tens of thousands of street children, we
have taken over 30 children off the streets and into our home. We aim
to meet the educational, physical, spiritual, and mental needs of each
child…Manila is home to approximately 200,000 street kids. Children come to us for a variety of reasons; some have been abused, neglected or abandoned.”

“These boys were born premature. Their mother tried to abort Daniel (left) and his twin brother Jacob (right)several times but they survived. The mother came to a clinic run by pre-med
students, very sick and in labor. She was taken to the hospital, where
she gave birth to two healthy babies. The twins lived in the hospital
for the first month of their lives due to their size and underdeveloped
lungs. Then, they were brought to the New Faith Family Children’s Home.
Since then, they have grown much bigger and are bright, healthy boys.”
“Maricel (left) loves helping around the house however she can, and has aspecial heart for the youngest children. She is enjoying kindergarten.
Pray for her speech, that she will continue to open up and not be
afraid to talk more confidently. She is in the process of the
“declaration of abandonment” which will allow her to be free for legal
adoption.”
