Where to start? Well, my squad came up with some questions as a getting-to-know-you, so that seems like a good enough place to start—an icebreaker for blogging! There were 5 sets of questions so that’s how I’ve broken them up
Question set 1
Favorite color, fruit, band or artist?
Cerulean—if we’re going off Crayola
I can’t choose just one fruit—I love fruit!
Philip Phillips and Needtobreathe—it’s more about individual songs though
Best gift you have ever received and why?
How do you choose a best? I love any heartfelt gifts… the ones that you just know someone put a lot of time or thought into.
Early riser or night owl?
COMPLETE night owl
Question set 2
Spiritual gifts?
God has blessed me with a passion for people (I’ll use that phrase a lot). I feel deeply for those who suffer and it is a driving force in all that I desire to do in life—this is my gift
Where are you at in life right now (age, work, school, etc)?
I’m 22 and I work at a preschool! I was studying Child and Adolescent Development at Cal State Fullerton. I’m putting school on hold while I go on the race and when I get back I will start a medical program at OCC… yeah, I know, big difference!
Fear/ worry you have prepping for the World Race and during the race?
Fundraising and finding all the right gear in time… I mean, asking people to fund me is just awkward sometimes
During the race I’m most worried about the heartbreak I will experience for the people I meet and will eventually have to leave behind
Ideal wilderness trip?
Some place warm or hot with waterfalls—the kind you can jump off of and swim under—and a minimal amount of bugs (is it time for a Supaii trip yet?)
Favorite coffee drink?
Have a strong dislike of all things coffee
Favorite scripture or theme in the Bible?
Keep watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak Matthew 26:41
This passage is just incredibly humbling to me.
Why do you want to be a World Racer?
I want to help people. I want to experience life from different perspectives and do what I can to better the living of those I meet. I want to do these things through God and with His word!
Question set 3
If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want?
One that works with people. I love working at a preschool, but I want to work in human-trafficking rehabilitation… something of that sort.

Almond Joys

Brazil for the World Cup or Supaii in the Grand Canyon

Human-trafficking

A Little Princess, The Sound of Music, or Ever After
