Last night, after our massive Carnival Mud Battle, we returned to Canchamana. We brought with us pizza and soda. The people of Canchamana have given us a great taste for Peruvian food and we wanted to share with them a North American meal. Most of them liked it, other’s tried to hide their dislike. I saw a man, maybe in his 60’s try to pawn the rest of his slice off on a child, the child refused to finish it as well. It was comical, a little off the charts for their liking.
The pizza boxes were eventually empty and we entered into a wonderful question and answer time. They asked about prayer, the difference between religions, how do you become saved, what do you when you become a christian, among others. We are not experts with great answers to these questions neither are we fluent in doctrine’s or philosophy, but we know the saving grace of Jesus Christ and God’s plan for sending His son to reconcile us back to Him and that is what we shared. There was a big response from everyone when we offered Jesus’ promise of abundant life. As a group we repented of our sins, received forgiveness and gave hearts over to Jesus. We spent time praying over them and for sicknesses to leave. We did not see any physical miracles yet but we saw the miracle of precious seeds being planted in their hearts, they are open to letting the Holy Spirit guide them and this is one of the greatest miracles they will live to tell the continuous testimony of.
Please keep these families in your prayers. Pray that land will come available to them, that the Mayor will have compassion on them and bring them the AID they need and deserve. Pray that they will have someone come their way who will continue to teach them how to grow in God.

Canchamana will always be in my heart.
