I was asked to share what kinds of foods we eat in each country so I am happy to give you my first food blog!

First up, classic sticky rice and French fries. Much like central America, we have rice for EVERY meal. The rice here is a different from central America in that it is just plain white rice. Normally served with other foods. In this case, fries.

There is not a big difference in foods from breakfast to lunch to dinner. One day last week we were served hamburgers, fries, pizza and rice for BREAKFAST.

Chicken soup with jelly noodle things. For lunch we had a soup that  was made up of chucks of chicken(bone in), okra, onion, and theses jelly noodle looking things. It was delicious!

We have fish often. Fish is served whole here. This is one of the foods you will see as an option if you go to the food court at the mall

Here is what a typical plate looks look at the mall food court. You have a green muffin, rice, squid (or meat of choice), soy noodles, small bit of veggies, and a chicken broth soup

We also had this AMAZING fruit salad made of sweetened condensed milk, cream, and canned fruit cocktail…sorry no picture but it was amazing!

Some interesting foods that are eaten here include coagulated pigs blood on a stick, dog, balut( an egg with a 26 day old baby duck inside).

Happy eating!!!
