Hi Family and Friends,

I have a World Race story from Rwanda to share with you!

I am currently in Nyagatare, Rwanda. Our first day of ministry we woke up and headed out to food. (We walk 40 mins one way to every meal) After breakfast, we went to a hospital to pray over people. Little did we know when we walked in, that we were walking into the maternity ward. There were newborn babies all over the place. As soon as we were introduced I quickly found a baby to hold. We went around the ward praying for both the new moms and babies. This was by far my best day on the race yet.  As one baby was being put in my arms I asked our translator this baby’s name. Since the baby was newly born it didn’t have a name. The parents asked us to name their little baby boy. We prayed about it and chose Levi. The parents were thrilled! I feel so much joy and responsibility when asked to name a baby, It’s such a blessing.

After the maternity ward we went to another room. My heart sank as I walked in! I had just walked into a room full of sick children. Directly on my left was a little one year old child all by himself on the hospital bed crying. I rubbed his little head until he fell back asleep. After he was asleep his mom walked in and told me all about him. I found out that has the kind of malaria that attacks your brain. Before the child got malaria, he was a normal little baby and now the child was blind, deaf, paralyzed and now not eating. While we were there the mom asked the doctor to give the child an IV and the doctor refused, leaving us with the impression that the doctor has given up on the child. My heart breaks for this little one! Please pray for him.

There are many children and families just like this one all over the world and I want to continue my journey on the race so that I can continue reaching children just like this one. I want to share Jesus’ love with the least of these, but I need your help! I have three weeks to meet my deadline. I must have $4,500 in my account by March 1st or I will be sent home for lack of funds. Words can’t express how thankful I am for all my friends who are faithfully supporting me and have enabled me to make it this far, but I need more people join the mission that God has called me and continues to affirm me in everyday. To my prayer warriors: I can’t imagine what all has been done in the heavenly realms because of your intercession on my behalf! Thank you so much, and God Bless you!

P.S. a few days ago I went to a school. I thought I would share the video! ENJOY!
