CRAZY THINGS HAPPEN….
I find myself going around the world to tell people about Him….
I find myself with the following mission:
Ministry assignment for September:
Location: Bucharest, Romania
THE CHALLENGE: "Thousands of Romanian families barely survive and the village people suffer even more. There are few jobs and often children don't go to school because they don't have the money to buy school materials and books. Many village children don't have shoes and clothing to be able to go to school.”
WHAT IS BEING DONE: Casa Shalom is clothing, feeding and helping families to have a better life. Although Casa Shalom is a children's home they also provide assistance to families in the area and in outlying villages so that they have resources to support their own children.
WHERE I COME IN: While I am at Casa Shalom I will be involved in a lot of different ministries from VBS type programs/ a "kids camp" and children's ministry to facilities maintenance and cleaning. They may plan special events as fundraisers that need staffing.
Our goal is to help the parents so that they can help themselves in the future. Putting the tools in their hands to make a sufficient income to care for their children but in the meantime helping them get on their feet.
