Update blog/ Just One Question—

 
Well…. It’s definitely been too long since I’ve posted an update blog so this might be a bit long.

The last fundraiser I put together was at Riverfest.  This was successful! Did I sell as many bracelets as I wanted? No, but did I get my prayer answered of God using the bracelets as a tool to share my faith with others? YEP YEP….On Sunday he even used some people to help minister to me!   I want to share those stories!  This all took place in one day all, pretty much, back to back! 

First, there were two friends together who asked me about my faith base and then just shared with me how much they admired what I was doing!

Next, was a lady I saw a lady making a b-line straight for my booth. She shared with me that she had heard about my booth from her friends, and wanted to support me! She had been sexually abused growing up and felt our cause was worth supporting. HOW  UPLIFTING!!!! I don’t even know her name.  

Then, there was a mother and daughter that were looking at the bracelets, on both sides of the booth. After they had been looking for about 10 minutes the mom walked up to me and asked me if the organizations shared the gospel in their ministry. This opened the door for me to share my experience in Haiti, and my personal mission. I ended up crying with her because of how thankful I was for her, and the deep connection we had! I was so blessed by the conversation we had and by her taking the time to listen to my story and have the boldness to ask just one seemingly small question! There were like 4 hugs. She reminded me that I have moms all over the place!  I truly believe this was an instance where the BODY OF CHRIST came together! Does that happen in the world? Her daughter is very lucky to have a mother like her!

So I thought that was the end of the day. Well it didn’t stop there.  There were approx 30 mins left till I had to start tearing down the booth. It was just me, frantically trying to figure out how I was going to tear down the pop up tent on my own. About the time when I had decided that I would just have to get it done on my own, or ask some random stranger for help my two friends walked in.  We talked for a little bit and as they walked off it hit me that I should ask them to help. Surely not, how could I impose? Well, God is good and he provides all our needs, and this was a gift from him. So I walked up to them and asked and they said yes. Tear down took maybe 10 mins! I am still so thankful for their help!  

 
Training camp is in 1 week. I am heading to Chattanooga, TN July 1st, with a small delay in Kansas City. In Kansas City I will be meeting up with my squad mate Jen and we will be going to Cabellas and hanging out till we have to catch a 5:15AM flight to Chattanooga.I am excited for training camp and meeting up with my team mates, and having more details to share with you all! Be looking for pictures and video, and stories from training camp!!!

On the financial end of things. I have made all my deadlines so far with flying colors. However I have to have 6,000 in to leave and my goal would be to actually have 10,000 by Sept. I know all things are possible, so I am praying for some miracles!!! To have 10,000 my support account by Sept I need 6,000 more dollars!!!  Be praying about how you could come along side what God is doing!!!

OK…. Last but not least….
 
PRAYER REQUESTS….

  • Safety in my travels to training camp.
  • For my heart to be open and prepared for what all I will be experiencing at camp.
  • For the planning of future fundraisers to go well. 
  • For people to continue to have it put on their hearts to give sacrificially!
  • Please pray against spiritual attacks!!!! I’ve been being hit pretty hard everytime I turn around and its getting extremely frustrating!
  • Getting everything ready, all my gear-insurance the whole 9 yards. I have 1 more week!!! Prayers that I don’t forget anything would be AWESOME!!!!
