Monday started out early for one of our off days, but today was a special day for one of my teammates. Today was Angie Blattner's 23rd birthday and we were going to celebrate in style. However today was also a day when some of my dreams came true.
We were up at 8 AM and a few people went out to buy stuff so that we could have a picnic lunch. When they returned we quickly ate breakfast and were out the door and en route to Sheldrick's elephant orphange. It's only open for an hour when they feed and wash the baby elephants. I could attempt to tell you how cute these orphaned elephants are, but I think I will show you instead. They range from months old to 2 years old. At the age of two they are taken to a sanctuary where they can grow up.

Team Frontline
After seeing they babies and a few random wild warthogs we headed back to the church to eat our peanut butter and Nutella sandwhiches. Oh so delicious! Well then Angie and I were not ready to be done playing with animals so we headed out to the Giraffe Center just outside of Langata. Okay first of all giraffes are my all time favorite animal and second of all this place is awesome. I got to feed, pet, and even kiss the giraffes. They giraffe center currently has 8 giraffes. One male and 7 females of which 1 was a year old. Adorable! I love giraffes. Can I have one dad? Pretty Please!?

After coming home from that and realizing that sunscreen would have been a wonderful option we all dressed up and went to Fogo Gaucho for dinner. Amazing Brazilian grilled all you can eat meats, which included crocidile. It was a wonderful experience and the staff even sang to Angie for her birthday!
