Everyday Life for You

    What does that look like?

Take a moment and think about your everyday life.

Do you wake up, put on the coffee, go to work, come home clean, make dinner, and take care of the kids?

Do you fight your alarm clock or your mother as she tries to get you out of bed and out the door to school and then spend what seems like forever making your way through a stack  of homework after your basketball practice?

Do you grab a cup of coffee after pulling another all nighter trying to finish your essay you put off by going out to watch Harry Potter 7 with a big group of friends?

You do. Perfect then I have another question for you. How often are you choosing to see God work in those everyday life moments? How often are you serving to further his kingdom by letting him work through your everyday moments? It a choice. He isn’t going to do it for you. You have to choose or ask or seek him out.

Maybe he’ll do something BIG and DRASTIC like call you to serve him for a year living out of backpack and traveling the world. But my guess is that is only a minority of people that has that happen to them. God will use you where ever you are and what ever you are doing. Even when ordering Taco Bell at 3 in the morning. Those times you struggle with feeling beautiful or struggle with feeling loved…He is there. Those times when you don’t know if you will make the car payment and be able to afford the groceries…He is there. Those times when you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and screaming at you to do more and be more…He is there. When you experience loss and when you experience joy…He is there. He LOVES you and is waiting for you to chose him everyday.

So the next time you wake up, put on the coffee, go to work, come home clean, make dinner, and take care of the kids think about how God could use you in those moments. The next time you fight your alarm clock or your mother as she tries to get you out of bed and out the door to school and then spend what seems like forever making your way through a stack  of homework after your basketball practice ask yourself how you saw God working today. When you pull another all nighter writing an essay and are struggling to make it through your next 4 classes awake seek out the Lord for his strength to get you through. And when life throws you those random curve balls, well I hope you take them to the Lord and lay them at his feet and ask him to use you, comfort you, and help you.

When you’ve done this for awhile I want you to answer the question how life altering is it when the Trinity weaves its way into your everyday life?
