Hello from the Philippines! I think it's been a week since we first landed here. We all made it safely after 45 hours of travel, 5 airports, 5 countries, 10,000 miles, and one holiday. We started out in San Jose, Costa Rica and flew to San Salvador, El Salvador. From there we flew into LAX and made it through customs with 2 minutes to spare to ring in the new year. We celebrated that in true world race fashion, wigs, songs, lots of shouting and singing, doing stupid stuff, and eating food. We had a 12 hour or so layover so some people went to hotels for the night, others went to in and out for food, but I stayed in the freezing airport and really only got an hour of sleep. The time for us to board came soon enough and it took us 14 hours to fly to Hong Kong. It was a nice flight with delcious food and lots of movies you could choose to watch on your own personal television. Once we landed in Hong Kong we quickly sang to Lauren to celebrate her birthday, which was shortened due to the time changes, and then we put on several skits about her life and played one game where she had to guess who people were blindfolded. Then from Honk Kong we flew into Manila went through customs crawled into some vehicles and made our way to our ministry site by 3 AM. Since I only had about 4 hours of sleep for the 45 hours we travelled I was tired. And that was the very quick version of my travel day, but you maybe wondering what the secret is to a good travel day…..well there are a few.

1. Drugs to knock you out for the long flights. Watching movies is great and all, but when you know you have to accustom to jet lag you might want to get a headstart on it by knocking yourself out.
2. Flim everyone because when people get little sleep they do crazy things.
3. Do something crazy.
4. Actually you just may have to S-squad to have awesome travel days.
