Okay so maybe the title sounds a little more than this blog might, but there are pictures in this blog so stay tuned in. Our last day at CICRIN we went with some of the kids to hike 3K up Madera Volcano to a waterfall.

FUN FACT #1 Survivor was filmed on Ometepe by Madera and Conception Volcanoes.

Like true world race style we rode in 2 vans for an hour and a half to get to the volcano. Most of the drive was over uneven largely populated pothole filled roads. Twice we had to drive through water because the levels of the lake have risen and covered part of the roads. Our van got stuck  in the road about minute walk from where we needed to be, but when we finally got to the volcano the drive/walk proved to be worth while. Since pictures say a thousand words I’ll let them tell the story.

can you see the rainbow?

we ran into some monkeys on the hike back down

So I may or may not have fallen into a rock gorge. This is just the beginning of one of my lovely bruises.

But we had fun!!
