Cambodia! What a beautiful country! One of the top countries I adore. I love the people, I love the culture, and the food is not half bad. The people here have had to suffer a lot throughout their lives and live through horrific tragedies but yet that didn’t take away their contagious smiles and hospitality. Just walking down the streets or through the busy market not a single Cambodian would not give you a smile. They carry such a joy that’s unexplainable. They all treat you like family. They are always so quick to give you the shirt off their back or just a simple hello. I know back home if I walked down the street and waved and said hello with a smile I wouldn’t get that many genuine responses. The response I would probably get is weary looks and silence.
Our ministry this month in Cambodia was working with a contact Named Vuthy. Here is a link to a short video of His heart and the ministry my team worked with all month. I highly recommend watching it, for it will bring better understanding of what I might be partnering with in the future. http://vimeo.com/73223306
This was sincerely the best month on the Race for me so far, in my previous part 1 blog I mentioned how I didn’t want to be there and how I dealt with trusting God in His ways. God always has a better plan then we do…always. With that being said let me shine some light on what God had me doing this last month…
We usually started our days off by going to the market to get breakfast for our teams.
After morning breakfast we take an hour long prayer walk around the villages, or house to house visits asking if people would like prayer or would be willing to hear about Jesus.
Then back at our ministry site we start English classes!
While my team mates take their turn teaching classes I would go help Vuthy’s mom cook our lunch. This is the kitchen where all of our meals were prepared. We even had the help and company most days of dogs and chickens inside the kitchen with us…
After lunch we would resume classes.
At the end of their school day we would have chapel before they would go home. There is where we got to teach them Bible songs and play out Bible stories. The most important of all this is when we get to plant seeds of Jesus in them.
Then at 4pm we drive to the public Buddhist public schools to teach about JESUS! There we would teach them English and enlighten them with stories in the bible and teach them action songs.

Those were how most of our days where spent, teaching, disciplining, and investing in the boys who Vuthy has taken in and investing in the children at school. God is so evident there and He has gifted Vuthy with incredible visions for the future. I am so excited and honored that God would call me back there to help bring the kingdom to earth!
Our God is an Awesome GOD!
