Hello friends,
As I am sitting in a busy mall in Honduras trying to get some work done, I thought I would share with you a little bit about my resent trip to Guatemala. Last week I meet up with 17 individuals who did not know each other but come together with a common purpose, to be wrecked. To see God move in a different way, to be changed, to never be the same again. This was the shortest trip I have ever lead. The team was on the ground in Guatemala for 3 day.. yes that is right! just 3 days! At first I thought the idea of a 3 day trip was the craziest thing I had ever heard but the crazy thing is the trip did not seem that short. We were all intentional about getting to know each other before the trip, so meeting at the airport was like a reunion. The joke in the group was that each day seemed like a week, so it was almost like out 3 days turned into 3 weeks… crazy but amazing.

It had been two years since I set foot in Antigua, it was my first stop on the World Race but even after all that time it felt like I had never left. What a great feeling to be in a sense “at home”. One of the things I was most excited about with leading this trip was the possibility of going back to the hospital where I meet my friend David on the race. The first day I went to the hospital I searched all around and finally found him. I was sooo EXCITED to see David smiling back at me. ( it just so happened to be my birthday.. best birthday present ever!) I went to see him as many times as I could before leaving. The day I went to say goodbye something had upset him, I had never seen David sad before. It really broke my heart, I wanted to just sit beside him and share the pain, crying with him. It reminded me of just how helpless we are without the Lord. I know I cant be there with David everyday seeing that we live in different counties but I know the Lord is there with him every day.
This is from 2 years ago on the world race.
This is from last week in Antigua
There are so many exciting stories that I want to share with you about my time in Guatemala. I really saw God move in a way that I had not seen in some time. I often time struggle with hearing the voice of the lord but for some reason it was clear while I was there. He spoke to me ( I will share more of that in the next blog). I dont really know how to explain it but I feel Him diffrently in Guatemala. You might be asking, “do you feel called to Guatemala?” The answer is no, but I do feel called to the Lord and it excites me that I heard His voice so clearly there.
Anyways that is all for now. There will for sure be more stories to come. Please be praying for me as I am in Honduras for the next 10 days serving at Zion’s Gate ministries ( my second stop on the WR). It is great being back here and there is a lot for me to do so please pray for strength and health as I am currently fighting a cold and want to be able to give the ministry my all.
