Missionary
n. A missionary is someone sent by Jesus Christ just as He was sent by God.
It was 3 years ago this past September. Heidi Baker was speaking at my church in Las Vegas. In her normal fashion (If you know her you will understand), sprawled out on the floor telling stories of what God was doing in Mozambique. At the end of the service she said “there are a handful of people here that are called to be full-time missionaries” and she wanted them to come up to the altar for prayer. Without any hesitation I knew that the Lord placed that “calling” upon my life.
The only thing is, I didn’t know what it would look like. When the Lord calls us to something we usually have many pre-conceived ideas of what it’s going to look like and how it’s going to happen. All which usually end up looking very different. In this case it did.
Here I am, finishing up a 3-year season with Adventures in Missions. It has definitely been one for the books. One that the Lord has blessed and breathed life into. I have gotten to travel to many countries, sharing the love of Jesus to many people in different forms and fashions, from the locals in those countries to the peers I have journeyed alongside of. I have learned new passions and direction that is even more than I could have imagined. I have also learned how to be content in many situations and to not let my circumstances become bigger than need be. What I believe something the Lord loves the most is healing. To see his children walk into a place of total freedom of past situations that have played an affect in their life.
I have personally seen this in my own life, and I want to continue to walk in a freedom that I was designed to be apart of.
So now I move forward to what’s next.
Though I may not be in another country per se, I still consider myself a missionary because I know it’s what the Lord has placed over my life, and the U.S. needs Jesus just as much as any other country. Bringing the Kingdom of God in all places around the earth.
SO.. what’s next? What will I be doing?

At the end of January, I am moving to Redding, California.
I am going to be apart of Bethel, under their leadership. I am in a season of resting/receiving and through the past 3 years of constant pouring out, I am going to get into a community that I can give and receive from. I am also going to get into their inner healing courses. To walk more into the freedom and identity that God has created me for. Bethel is a well established church / ministry in many different areas that I can grab a hold of and be apart of. I am taking a huge faith in this move. As I have no clear direction, I just believe that God is wanting me to take the step and go. An act of obedience. I am not sure how long I will be there. It could be a year or two. It may be longer or shorter, but I am excited to see what He will do once I get there.
