Sorry Im late at posting this. My life has been hected the past few weeks finishing up school:
Who am I?! My name is Andrew Ingrassia! I am from Las Vegas, NV. you know the place everyone calls Sin CIty.. but Greater things have yet to come and greater things are still to be done in this city. And let me tell you, there are going to be some amazing transformations that are going to happen here in Vegas. Wel Im originally from San Jose, CA but have lived in NV for 21 years. So i am basically a Las Vegan Native.
I was born into a Christian Family. Father and Mother are ministers and have been for about 30 years and I was basically born saved. Lol No but I accepted the Lord in my heart when I was 8 years old. We had a play at church called Heavens Gate and Hells Flame. It literally scared the bejesus out of me and so from there on I started my love for Jesus.
I have always loved being in church. Every chance I get I would rather be there than home. Since I was in youth. I would be apart of almost anything and do about everything. It's second home but its the greatest Love.
My first missions trip was when I was 13. I went to China/Japan. It was what set my heart on fire for missions. Hanging out with street kids younger and around my age and just seeing the living conditions of the way others live i knew what my calling was. So the next year after that we did a small missions trip to Mexico and got to help out under a local church where we were at. Doing construction and Vacation Bible school and just loving the people. I didn't do another missions trip until October 2009. I got the chance to go to India / Indonesia/ Singapore. This is what set my heart back on fire for missions and led me to the World Race. After going on this missions trip visiting slum schools, experience the smells, the warfare, the oppression it burdened my heart for more!
About a month ago I was talking with friends about ready to go leave and do a missions trip again. As we were talking we were figuring out places i could go.We said I should do one around the world.
I figured I would just go on my own and meet up with missionaries I know. After we were talking and I was driving home I felt God press on my heart that it needed to be within a group setting. So the next morning I google searched "Around the world christian missions" and the very first one to pop up was the world race. I looked through it and searched and prayed and knew that this was it. So as I write this I get excited to know that God is going to provide everything necessary for me to go.
One scripture that has been on my heart and that has been confirmed throughout the past few weeks is Mark 10:21- "Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” " Here am I Lord! Send me and Use me!
Can't wait to see all that God does.
