This month in Romania has already been amazing I've gotten to experience so many things and see what it's truly like to live here. There's so many stories to tell but for now I'm going to tell you about the day a bee got stuck in my beard, and a chicken stole my food.

My squad mate Jeffrey and I were sent to work with a family for the day, were originally told it was to do yard work. When we got there we found out we would be making brackets to put inside of bee homes that the bees make their honey comb on.

We did this for a few hours stopping every now and then to play with their son Joshua and his friends they were quite the characters.  Then it was time for lunch and this is where this chicken comes into the story. We were eating at the table outside and let's just say they had lots of chickens roaming around, I really didn't think much of it though. That Is until one of the chickens came over jumped up and stole half of a loaf of bread from right in front of me, and then was going to have a face off with their dog about who got to eat it. Not going to lie I definitely jumped but it was pretty hilarious.

After lunch we worked on brackets for a few more hours until it was time to make some honey. Jeffrey actually got In the bee keeper suit and jumped right in to the colony of millions of bees. Me on the other hand I'm not too fond of bees so I just stayed back to transport the honey combs that were ready to put in the honey maker.

Being that I was staying as far away as I could I didn't think I'd have a problem with the bees, but of course I was wrong. When I was getting ready to take one of the honey combs back a bee was buzzing around my head. I just kept walking in hopes that it would go away, wrong again. It actually flew too close to my face and got stuck in my beard. Naturally I freaked out ripped the bee out of my beard, dropped the bracket, and ran like crazy. Of course not remembering I had gloves on that were covered in honey.

It was an amazing day with an amazing family, I got to have some laughs along the way. They were such gracious host to us and even sent us home with a big container of the honey we had just helped them make, which we didn't expect at all.

God is good God is here God is now, no matter where you are whether you're in America or maybe experiencing month one in Romania God is always right by your side.
