First I will tell you all what the World Race is not to me.  I do not view the World Race as just a mission trip.  Nor do I view it as a trip around the world.   And I really don’t view it as a fun time to see new places.
I have been thinking long and hard about the World Race and what it means to me.  I am just now beginning to understand how big the World Race really is.  For to long our generation has sat passively by, watching the world whither away.  We especially have almost forgot that there is a whole world out there apart from the America.  I know, I know it is shocking, but there are more people out there than just us Americans.
Talking with Seth the founder of AIM has really shaped the over all vision of the World race for me.
One thing that we all need as humans is to take a pilgrimage, It is wired deep within us.  So many of us repress that drive due to what society and our peers push on us.  The expectations of success and getting a job and raising a family, while all are good and fine things leave so many of us crying for more.  We find ourselves wondering what else is out there.
I think the world race is this generations chance to stop the trend, to stand up and say its time to see what this world is all about.  Who are all these other people across the globe.  What can I as a Christian due to help people, love people, or just be with people.  I think the world race is in turn a catalyst, the fuel that is needed to start something, however small it may be, but in turn we will see it grow into a fire that will engulf this world for Christ.  It won’t happen on its own however, the world race really is nothing without God and the people that sell themselves out to God.  We are all called to be world changers, to go into all the nations proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.  I hope all of us can catch the vision, and get out of our comfort zones and follow the deep desires of your heart.  Don’t suppress that in you any longer, Go and fulfill the call that God has for you.  We are all in a race against time, as this world passes by don’t let another second of you not fulfilling your potential tick away.
