During our stay in Malaysia, team Soul Graffiti has been
involved in a variety of ministries in and around Kuala Lumpur. I had very
little knowledge of this city before arriving and I was completely blown away
by its magnitude as we drove through downtown and its suburbs for the first
time. Once again I have had more amenities this month than I thought were
possible on the World Race.
Our contacts this month have been simply amazing. The
couple runs two restaurants, one in the heart of KL, and the other is about 30
minutes outside the city. The second restaurant I mentioned is an American
themed joint called Kennedy’s. We have been working at Kennedy’s on a daily
basis, helping promote the business, train the staff, and encourage the young
believers there.

Of course we are not here just to bring in customers and
help serve them. Our contacts have a vision for this place to really become an
outreach center for the community.
They are really hoping to target the youth
and college students in the area. Even though many WR teams have come through
this location, we are really the first to connect with the local university,
SEGi College. I was thrilled to hear we would be working with this age group throughout
the month. Ever since Cambodia, I have had a growing passion for college
students. I’ve already been considering ways to see this out when I return
home!

Last Friday we were able to join with the Christian
Fellowship on campus and worship together and share about the World Race. To my
surprise, it actually felt normal standing up in front of this group of
students and sharing what God is doing in my life.
We are also planning to host
a night of worship at Kennedy’s before we head out next week. We invited all
the students who are involved with the Christian Fellowship and they showed a
lot of interest. It should be a great evening!

I’m also excited to share that my team will be heading out
of the city for the next four days to visit a number of villages.
We will be accompanying
a local pastor to 7 or 8 churches where we will take turns preaching. With this
being Easter weekend our focus will be on the death and resurrection of Christ.
We are all expecting God to show up in some amazing ways this week! Please be
praying for us as we travel and teach the Word of God.

And just so everyone knows, our new team has really come together,
even in the last week. We have already had some great bonding experiences and
are moving forward as unit held together in love. Can’t wait to see how God uses
our time in the villages to strengthen us even more.
