There’s this young boy in Manila staying at the childrens’ home with Kids International Ministries.  His name is Rolly and every morning when I would go to this childrens’ home he would greet me. Rolly is a boy who said very little but was very kind. He loves to go on the swings. In fact, every morning we would swing for 2, sometimes 3 hours. It didn’t take me too long to realize that he didn’t go to school like some of the other boys and girls. He and some other children would stay at the home instead of attending school in the morning. I learned that in order for the kids to attend school they must be sponsored by outside sources to pay for their education. The cost to sponsor a child is just $50 a month. With an education Rolly has a much higher chance of getting a job, and it would keep him occupied during the day. I don’t have the ability to sponsor Rolly or any of the kids at the childrens’ home, but if you would like to help give Rolly an education or any of the kids at the childrens’ home, you can go to Kidsim.org.
