Below is my support letter for anyone who has not had a chance to read it.
Dear family and friends,
This September God has opened doors for me to go on an amazing adventure. The World Race Gap Year through Adventures In Missions is a specially designed trip for student’s right out of high school and entering college. It is a nine month program that will take me out of my comfort zone and remove me from my normal life. On the trip I will be going to three different continents, Central America, Africa, and South-East Asia. While on the trip I will be partnering with churches and local ministries to help spread the gospel. I will help by planting churches, working in orphanages and ministering to woman and children trapped in prostitution due to human trafficking. I will also be getting to know the people in these places and look forward to telling them about the gospel and taking care of any manual labor jobs that they have waiting for us.
I have been on several mission trips both nationally and internationally. On these trips I have participated in assisting local children’s outreach program, laying cement and repairing roof tops to a school ministering to Native Americans, to encouraging patients in a mental hospital. This past summer I traveled to Haiti where I served at an orphanage and aided in their Vacation Bible School program. I am very excited to see how God will use me through this trip and how He will use my fellow world racers. I hope to be a blessing to those I serve, and also to you. I am honored to have this opportunity and cannot wait to be Gods hands and feet.
During all of these trips I’ve relied on God for financial support and it’s always been there. I remember words of wisdom that were spoken to me on my first mission trip in Maine. Mrs. Bean who was my host during that time told me that no matter what happened in life I could always trust in God to help me get through hardships. Today I trust that if it is Gods will for me to go on this trip He will supply me with the $13,000 that is needed for this mission. I need to raise $9,000 by June 27th, The remaining amount will be due August 22nd.
If you feel God leading you to support me on this life changing and faith strengthening opportunity there are two ways you can donate. You can mail a check along with a response card to Adventures in Missions PO Box 534470 Atlanta, Georgia 30353-4470.
