God is in a Good Mood!

Merry Christmas!!!  Most of you are probably about to wake up on Christmas Day, while I am just ending an amazing Christmas in Cambodia!  It has been full of friends, food, laughter, music, story telling, and great community!!  I thought I would send some Holiday Cheer your way and pray that each person reading this blog will be blessed this Christmas season!!  I also want to thank my supporters back home who are as much a part of this journey as I am…without you this trip would not have been possible, which includes all of you who have been praying for me as well!!!!

 The New and The Old Squad Leaders!!

It is crazy to think that it has been about four months since I left America.   As I sit here (literally on a balcony overlooking the city) and reflect, I still think it is a miracle that I am even here in the first place.  To be honest, life was not terrible for me prior to The World Race…it was actually pretty good.  God had to do a miracle to get me to leave my job, a great city, an amazing church and community group, a loving girlfriend, awesome friends, an amazing family, and really just the comforts of home.

While there have been times of loneliness during this trip, God has proven more than faithful!  He has been guiding me the whole time and has consistently showed Himself to be GOOD!  In fact, this has been the cornerstone of my relationship with Him…I believe in the GOODNESS OF GOD!  I don’t believe that God is sitting in heaven just waiting for me to mess up so He can reprimand me, but I genuinely believe that GOD IS IN A GOOD MOOD!!  He legitimately wants good things for me, which is why I have trusted Him and have left so much in pursuit of HIM!

Even though I am missing my family who is spending this Christmas in Colorado, God has provided an amazing family for me here on The World Race, whom I like to call “THE Q”!  I am very blessed to have spent Christmas Day with 3 of our 6 teams, and to get to enjoy an exquisite potluck lunch with such amazing people.

I want to give a special shout out to Mr. Kent!  God has especially put you on my heart this Christmas…I love you bro and hope the best for your right now!!
