Like most high school Christians, my prayer life for the past 2 or 3 years has been centered on God’s plan for my life. Senior year is a scary time because you all of a sudden have to know where you want to go next, what you want to do next, and how you are going to do it. I never thought while praying about my future God would reveal to me that his plan was not for me to do what I had always planned for and go to collage next year, but leave everything and follow him into the unknown for 9 months, but he did.

If you have ever had an experience like this, where God reveals something big to you in a way only he can, you know the idea does not just go away. As I looked deeper into the World Race Gap year the more I felt God push me to serve him this coming year.

Everyday I am reminded of why I want to take this next year and serve God. I was especially reminded of the joys of sharing the Gospel and the love of God this year on my mission trip to the Bahamas. I felt God calling me deeper yet into missions and in two short weeks I got to see the skills God have me to give him glory.

I am not only going to be giving glory to God by spreading the gospel to people all over the world, but I am going to be deepening my faith and finding more out about who I am, and who God wants me to be through so many eye opening experiences.

I know this next year is going to be a crazy adventure and I can’t wait for God to reveal more and more of his plan for me. Thank you for all of your prayers so far, and please continue to pray for fundraising as I start this intimidating process! And most of all thanks for joining me in the journey.

with love,

Andrea
