Life here in Darwin at the Christian Outreach Centre this month has been 
interesting. We have been doing all types of things to help further the Kingdom. I spent about three and a half days folding and stapling large amounts of booklets and kids Bible study papers. I’ve spread maltch around and dug a ditch for the landscaping around the new hostel buildings that are going in. My teammates have helped slaughter pigs and cows for meat for the centre. We’ve served meals and helped prepare them.
There are tons of other things that we have been busy doing around here, but
yesterday I got to be a hand model. Erin was asked to create a poster and magnets for Pastor Merv’s upcoming trip to Nigera to share at a conference with believers there. So Erin needed a pair of hands willing to be written on and dirty, so I gave her my hands. It was actually a lot of fun getting to do this job. As Erin, Charity, and Rachael wrote on my hands we had some good laughs and the pictures turned out pretty cool. So my hands got to be a part of furthering the Kingdom in another way.It is easy as we work on these tasks to just look at them and think of them simply 
tasks that need to be finished and to not see the larger scale of their effect on lives we will never meet. The COC is very active in supporting missionaries all over the world and all of their buisnesses and projects the money goes to support the people they are connected with all over the world. The papers we have folded and stapled are going to Aboriginal children to teach them about Jesus. The landscaping we are doing will help bring the hostel to copmletion and that will bring in money to support missionaries as well as reach out to the Aboriginal people who will come and stay in these rooms. My goal this month is to look past the task as we learned last month and think about how what we are doing will show God’s love in so many ways so many people.
