Day 20 in Honduras and with less than a week left in Tegucigalpa I thought I'd let you in on what ministries we've been working with this month. ๐Ÿ™‚

Week One: Construction. As soon as we got to Tegucigalpa we started working on doing work. It wasn't long at all when we met Blanca and started working on her roof. Day one consisted of gathering tools and materials including wood for the roof.

Once that was done, our strength and efforts were put into taking down Blanca's old roof and placing a new one in her abode.

After a week of going hard and working as hard as we were able to, the roof was completed!

I did forget to mention, since the roofing job only required 2-3 people from our team at a time: the rest of the team was hard at work to re-paint a fellow missionary's classrom for her.

Week two consisted of working with a cooking ministry that is sponsored by the church. The ministy's goal is to feed some of the local kids that do not receive proper nurishment otherwise. Basically, we cooked from around 9 AM to 11:30 AM and then served the kids as well as play with them and love on them. These kids range from 1 year olds to 10 years old (rough estimate). An occasional game of "Ninja" was definitely on the menu a few of those days as well.

A few of us have also had the oppotunity to test out our teaching skills (or lack there of) with the kids and youth of the church. Lord knows I am not a teacher, but He definitely blessed the lessons!

We have also done some in-home visits that consisted of us walking to different neighborhoods here in Tegucigalpa to visit youth that did not make it to church that week. We would read scripture, sing some worship songs, and pray with the families and over the homes with them. The amount of fellowship in this church amazes me.

This week, week three, we had a day designated to rest all day. No ministry, no where to go. It was nothing short of fantastic! We did end up going to our Host Family's home for dinner and stayed there until almost midnight.

Yesterday we visited a hospital (no pictures from that unfortunately) and prayed with the sick. I'll be posting a separate blog on that one soon.

The remainder of the week is focused on home visits, help with church ministries, and worship. We're figuring out last minute details on when we are leaving as well as setting up a "Thank You" celebration for our amazing Unsung Heroes this month.

I never thought I could love a country like I love Honduras. I have 9 countries left though, so this may not even be close to what God has in store for me and my future as a missionary. For now, thank you for joining me on this journey and hope you can continue to join me! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am still about $4,050.00 short from my next deadline on Septmeber 30th. Please prayerfully consider being a financial partner with me so I can continue on the mission field with my team and squad.
