When in Vietnam these things may happen…
-you may get to ride in a bus on a ferry
-you may get to experience a little taste of Christmas in a Starbucks
-you may get to talk to your hostel owner lady for awhile as she shows you pictures of everywhere she has been in the world
-you may get to apartment hunt
-you may get offered ecstasy, or marijuana, or cocaine (just say no)
-you may meet a ton of people at a small church called The Well
-you may get to have lunch with the pastor of that church
-you may find that Jesus is much more present than you thought he was
-you may see a pink cathedral
-you may visit turtle lake which is in the middle of the city
-you may take a 7 hour bus ride to the beach for a mini vacation from ministry
-you may swim for the first time in the Pacific Ocean
-for that 7 hour bus ride you may get to go on a sleeper bus…greatest invention ever
-your expectations of what unsung hero month may be blown out of the water
-you may befriend some old guys in the park and learn how to play a game called sepak takraw
-you may have 15000 dong (aka 75 cents) smoothies every morning for breakfast
-you may meet a rich business man who loves the Lord and has an incredible story.
-you may find a small group to get plugged into for the month.
-you may get invited to an Americans house for lunch and to just be in a normal house setting
-your teammate may befriend a Starbucks barista and then she may show you and your teammates around the city and have her husband cook a traditional Vietnamese meal for you
-you may get to bake at someone’s house and enjoy some fresh cookies
-you may get to ride on a moto with a complete stranger
-you may try Pho for the first time
-you may get a free Starbucks drink because you befriended a barista there
-you may get to try fish soup
-you may get blessed with a ridiculous amount of money from someone you just met who wanted to hear about what we are doing and felt called to bless us.

These are just a few things that you may experience in Vietnam. It was such a great month for our team and God showed up on so many amazing ways. Now we are in Uganda, Africa for a month and I have already fallen in love with this country and the people here. It’s going to be a great three months.
Thank you for the continued prayer and support!
