Sorry that I have not blogged in forever! Last month was very hectic schedule and I got sick for 2 weeks in bed with a bad parasite. This month we are living in Phnom Penh (the capital of Cambodia). We are working in Hope Orphanage! There are 28 kids living here and each one of them have softened my heart.

The kids living here are either orphaned, abandoned, or have parents with addictions unable to care for them. One little girl Deborah, is disabled and was abandoned by a tree with a note on her. She’s precious!

We spend our days playing with the children who aren’t in school and helping teach English and computers to them. Recently someone donated 3 computers to the orphanage, which the kids share playing educational games. This is a real treat for them because other than that, the kids have very few toys: 1 jump rope, crayons, and 1 ball…for 28 kids to share.

I have encounterd the ultimate example of what it is like to live by faith by experiencing this ministry and the man who started it in 2006. Rithey was an orphan himself and has a huge heart for these children. They have no idea where their next meals will come from, they live completely by faith and the generosity of others. They have one monthly donation of $200 from a local church and that's it! It’s been 3 months since he’s been able to pay rent; and he often has to owe people in the market in order to provide rice for the children’s meals that day….but God continues to provide for them. And Rithey continues to step out in faith, knowing that the work he is doing will always be taken care of because of his faith in the lord!
