Haaappy New Year!
The day after we arrived in Phnom Penh was New Years Eve so we needed to bring in the New Year the right way! Chris, our contact for the month, recommended going to the Royal Palace where they would have fireworks over the river. Beautiful. My team had dinner at a nice little café that was playing Frank Sinatra which was glorious. We even met a woman from Canada that was giving away stickers in hopes of bringing just a little extra new year cheer to the crowd J After dinner, my team met up with another team staying in Phnom Penh and popped a squat on the curb, chatted about everything under the moon, made some friends with the kids that were selling different things on the street and brought in 2011 with our second family and fireworks .
the royal palace…beautiful!
Last night, I started writing a list of all the amazing things the Lord did for me in 2010…let me tell you, you can’t make a list like that and have a bad day. I’d highly recommend you make your own list. In no way, shape or form, did I ever expect to be bringing in 2011 in Cambodia with a group of people I hadn’t known 8 months ago but were now family. Nothing is impossible when you’re putting your trust and faith in the Lord. Start the year off right by asking the Lord for big things and trusting that He’ll bring you through whatever comes your way.
Here’s to an unbelievable 2010, and an even more ridiculous 2011!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
