Yep, I’ve looked all over the United States, Europe and Africa and I still haven’t been proven wrong. I’ve got the best mom in the WHOLE world!

A woman to look up to.

Growing up, I’ve always had a lot to admire about my mom.  She’s an extremely kind hearted person that always has others best interests in mind . Whether it’s our family, a friend or a stray animal that’s found his way to our home, she’s quick to give up her time, comfort or desires so that others are better off.  She loves to care for animals which I think is where I picked it up. In 4th grade, I took a pledge in class to save turtles off the road which I took very seriously (as did she J ). We still get excited to tell eachother when we’ve saved one!

We are who we are.

I’ve always appreciated that my mom gave us the freedom to be ourselves. My parents raised us in a strong Christian home and instilled good morals and trust in us. This allowed us to walk into who we were – even making the mistakes we needed to learn from – all while knowing they completely had our backs.

Quite the Encourager.

She’s always supported my siblings and I in anything we’ve pursued- for me, this has included but is not limited to : basketball team, swim team, dance classes galore, cheerleading and pom pons. She was always willing to drive me wherever I need to go, and she was always asking how she could get involved. Side note: my brothers and sister were involved in piano lessons, cross country, track, wrestling, basketball, soccer, football, and dance classes, so she definitely had her hands full to say the least. Not only did she help us arrive at all of our practices on time, she was at every single event cheering us on. What a gal!

What’s cookin’ good lookin’?

Growing up, we all knew that our holiday get togethers would be at our house and my mom would be in the kitchen making a feast of deliciousness. What about all of the other nights of the year, you ask? Yep, she was in the kitchen every morning and evening making us breakfast, packing our lunches for school (and waking up with us each morning for school might I add!) and cooking up a tasty dinner. Man oh man, we have been oh so lucky with her cooking skills. It took coming on the World Race for me to grow to like vegetables so I’m sure that will open up a whole new world for me when I go home! J Yum!

A Servant’s Heart.

She has always been ready to lend a helping hand with whatever we were doing or working on. From school projects to helping us look for jobs to literally anything else she could think of, she has always been willing to go above and beyond to help us out.

Hard workin’ woman.

We were lucky enough to have our mom stay at home with us growing up, but she was working at home to support the family even then. Between being a full-time mom (which I know nothing about besides it takes A LOT of patience and love) and working either at home or outside when we started school, she sure put quite a bit of time and effort out into supporting our fam.

Family First.

She has always put our family above all else. She’s one of the most caring, sincere, loving women I’ve ever met and truly puts all of her best qualities towards her family. I’m extremely blessed to have her as my mom.
