Jonathan and I about to head to the farm.. we’d be crazy not to take advantage of the back of the truck for the ride out there!  It’s not illegal to sit back there in Uganda! hehehe

this was on our way back from the farm. the girl holding the baby wasn’t more than 8 years old…it is completely common to see children her age or younger taking care of the other children around

Barbara… I’ve gotten to know and love this woman. She’s lived with HIV for years. Last year, she was bedridden and didn’t think she was going to make it.  She put all trust and faith God, and He healed her.  She can now walk and she’s able to carry on a normal life which is not always the case with someone that has been so close to the other end of the spectrum.  She’s married and has had 6 children…4 of them have passed away. One of her kids is 2 yrs old and the other is 6 years old.  The 2 year old is HIV positive.  She’s one of the most positive, joyful people I’ve ever met.  She’s dedicated her life to sharing her testimony and making music that encourages others that are going through extremely difficult times.  She is constantly giving all praise and glory to God.  She’s given me a cd she’s made so I can take it back to the US and share her testimony.  I’ve got a lot to learn from this woman before I leave… <3

Uganda’s overcoming a lot right now.  They have been faced with the mass murders from the LRA, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, extreme poverty, and other difficulties that most of us – including myself – can’t even grasp when it’s looking us straight in the eyes.  It’s important to know that Uganda is rising up.  They’re not looking for pity, they’re looking to pull together to build up their country.  Please pray for these people and the generation that is working hard to make a difference.  The Lord is with them – that is not debatable.  You can see it their eyes and hear it in their voices.

Isaiah 55:12 – “You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.”
