(Sorry this has been a very busy, crazy, unexplainable couple of weeks so this blog has taken some time to finish)

As we end our last day in Ireland, I think back to the past week. It is extremely hard to put into words the things that have happened and the things we’ve experienced through God.

I’ll start by explaining what the Awakening Conference is. All of the squads on the field and around the world come together for worship, teaching, fellowship, fun and camping. The Awakening Conference was amazing. The holy spirit came down heavy. Hearts were transformed, past burdens that we were carrying with us were broken off and I feel completely confident saying that we are all now closer to God and experiencing Him now more than ever. It’s also extremely evident how much our squad grew together as a family. I wish I could go further into what that means but at this point, I’m still soaking it up and processing through it.

Our squad has grown together as one body under Christ. We have meshed together in so many ways that we are constantly confirming God’s word through us and in eachother. We have been able to build eachother up in new ways and push, encourage and challenge eachother to grow into the men and women that God has created us to be.

As we’re gaining confidence in how God is speaking to us individually, we’ve been able to share that within our squad as a whole. It is ridiculous how much our words, visions, etc. have tied together to create the ultimate vision of who we are as a squad, who we are becoming as a squad and how we can encourage eachother to move forward in it.
We have to WAKE UP
You make the choice, not anyone else. Make the choice to have intimate time with God. Take time to pray. Give Him time to talk back to you when you do pray. Take time to read His Word. By reading, we get more of His mindset of what life should look like instead of putting it all on us to figure out.  If you have a hard time getting in the Word, take a walk, listen to music, sit in silence, paint, take pictures, read – God speaks to each of us in different ways and THAT’S OKAY.  Allow Him to move in you. Allow yourself to be free in Him. Allow yourself to be uncomfortable. Allow yourself to put ALL of your trust in Him. Allow yourself to follow His lead instead of making Him follow yours.

It’s amazing how much you feel the holy spirit if you let yourself. I’ve never experienced such freedom in my relationship with Christ…to be honest, I’m not sure I’ve felt this much freedom in general. He’s developing so many different things in me that I didn’t even know possible, and I’m trying to embrace it all as it happens. Let me tell you, so far so great. I know this is probably hard to understand, and that’s okay. He’s really lit a passion in me for what we’re doing and why we’re here.

Please continue to pray for me, my team and my squad as we enter into what lies ahead.

PS on a very random side note and in light of us being in Africa, I’d encourage you to watch Lion King, that movie has some “hidden” messages that are pretty powerful.
