Hello everyone! Well, these past few weeks have absolutely flooown by! I cannot believe we’re already moving on to month two in Romania. Crazy!!

Travel Plans

We’re heading to Kiev, Ukraine from Odessa tomorrow evening. That will be about a 9 hour train ride, and then we’ll be on our way to Romania on a 25 hr train ride.  I’m so excited for our travel time when the whole squad will be reunited!

The past week or so it’s been raining non-stop in Romania so it’s flooded everywhere. We were praying that the flooding would subside so that we could take the train into Romania (instead of the hot, cramped bus), and fortunately we found out today that the train’s gonna work out! Hooray! Our squad has all been praying pretty heavily that God would allow us to travel by train safely into Romania, and He has definitely answered that prayer. We’ll be traveling for the next couple of days and then we’ll all be in Buchrest for a few days, so please pray that we would all arrive safely and in good health.
Where will we be next?   Our team will be working with another team next month in a small, desolate village in the North Central part of Romania…very close to Transylvania so we’re hoping to check out Dracula’s Castle while we’re in the neighborhood J

Ministry in Romania —
While in Romania, we’ll be working in a gypsy camp doing quite a bit of door to door evangelism, performing drama’s and leading worship. I’m really excited to start this next chapter of the World Race. I think it will be a very stretching month so we’ll be doing things that are not necessarily in our comfort zone…hooray for that!  The more uncomfortable we are now, the more we’ll grow and be able to offer more through the upcoming months and post-race. Can’t go wrong with that J

Next I’m hoping to write about some of the differences between Ukraine and the US. We’ve learned A LOT during our time here, regarding the culture, the people, the food, transportation, etc. I also got a first-hand look at the things that we take advantage of in America and I’m excited to share my experience with you.

I love and miss you all! Thanks for reading J
