For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. your works are wonderful; and I know that full well psalms 139 13:14
God knows our every fiber, every hair on our heads, and every tear we’ve ever shed. He destines some of us to be doctors that save lives, lawyers who defend our rights, astronauts who walk different planets and missionaries that go and spread His love around the world.
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Mark 16:15
God gives some of us a special calling to go to different parts of the world and spread the love of God to people who do not know His greatness and never ending pure love. It was put on my heart at the young age of nine years old. I remember looking up at the (very colorful) missionary board that hung in my churches sanctuary and proclaiming and making a promise with God that I would one day go to other Nations and spread His love.
Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it’s the Lords purpose that prevails Proverbs 19:21
My life hasn’t always been on the straight and narrow of making my dream of mission work coming true. I am human and I’ve had my issues. I’ve tried to make my life go the way I wanted it to. Not the way God did and he stopped everything from working out completely. He put the love of children, travel, getting to know peoples stories, and helping people in preparation. Nothing that had to do with any of those worked out before now.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
With this, it is not to be said that there are not moments of fear and times of being discouraged. Above all, I am faithfully putting all of my trust into God. And, I know he will provide. He always does, always has and always will. This is the path He had for me since before I was ever created and I am so happy.
