10.30.14 On the bus from San Jose, Costa Rica to Managua, Nicaragua. I can’t believe were leaving already and about to start month 3. So what have I learned? There’s been a lot, but I’ll narrow it down.
Fear– Its non existent. Its not from God and its not from love. Its made up, and it can’t even do anything to you. If you have fear, its probably a sign you need to step into it or look into it. It may even expand God’s Kingdom.
Light– God’s light is in the midst of the darkness. Don’t focus on what the darkness is doing, because that gives praise to the prince of darkness. God’s light is literally found everywhere. Its in smiles, its in laughter, its in miracles. Its literally everywhere- so open your eyes.
Community– We’ve been with the entire squad this month and being in this community to love and learn has been great. I’ve seen different worshipping styles and learned new ones. While we were there, we were able to join the women’s group that meets twice a month. And it was awesome. That community of women of God was unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
Freedom– I was given the opportunity to share my testimony this month with the women’s group. Sharing this brought a new level of freedom to myself. Its liberating. I didn’t know if it hit home for anyone. But the following week I had 2 people ask if I was the one who gave my testimony. I know they were thinking about some part of it. Sharing also brings glory to God. Its good.
Painting– God taught me to paint to worship Him and I love it. I didn’t know I could paint. But I can through Him.
